Early autumn brings the start of the changing colors at the feet of Mt Sneffels in the San Juan mountains of Colorado.
The San Juans are hands down my favorite mountain range in Colorado. I don't get to visit often, but when I do, I always love it. This photo captures everything I love about the San Juans and especially Mt Sneffels. A truly well done photo that captures the elegance of the peaks, the beauty of the Aspens turning, and the soft sunlight on the peaks in late afternoon/evening that is just amazing. Well done.
Thanks! I love the area too. I've had a lot of photographic success there but it's not because of anything special I've done; I just let the scenery do it's thing and be grateful for the opportunity to be there to observe it.
this is just tooooo awesome
We were down in the area at the same time. We got a sunrise that wasn't so great that morning.
Ha, I missed sunrise that morning because I set my cell phone alarm wrong. I guess I shouldn't feel too bad about missing an unimpressive sunrise.
Yeah, you didn't miss much in my opinion. It was no clouds, bit of haze... wasn't until later in the morning when things got a bit better.
Love the shade of yellows and greens throughout the aspens. Great colors all around.
