The San Juans are hands down my favorite mountain range in Colorado. I don't get to visit often, but when I do, I always love it. This photo captures everything I love about the San Juans and especially Mt Sneffels. A truly well done photo that captures the elegance of the peaks, the beauty of the Aspens turning, and the soft sunlight on the peaks in late afternoon/evening that is just amazing. Well done. :clap:

Thanks! I love the area too. I've had a lot of photographic success there but it's not because of anything special I've done; I just let the scenery do it's thing and be grateful for the opportunity to be there to observe it.

Ha, I missed sunrise that morning because I set my cell phone alarm wrong. I guess I shouldn't feel too bad about missing an unimpressive sunrise. :D

Yeah, you didn't miss much in my opinion. It was no clouds, bit of haze... wasn't until later in the morning when things got a bit better.

Yeah, what was with the haze all last weekend? It made a lot of the grand scenics a lot less impressive.
